New East Manchester
Client: Code Computerlove
Hired to take on the full front-end build of a large scale website for New East Manchester developed in conjunction with Manchester City Council. Covering almost 2,000 hectares immediately east of City Centre, the regeneration programme for East Manchester is transforming a huge area and it was the task of Code Computerlove to showcase that in all its glory.
The site had a tight deadline so it was important that all components and code were re-usable and extensible with a well thought out front-end system and I was hired to develop that. Using the newly emerging methodology of Object Oriented CSS (OOCSS) and structured JavaScript and jQuery and working closely with Code’s in-house .NET development team we produced a stunning website.
